Game of War: Fire Age has a modified Paper-Rock-Scissors setup for their troops. This is also commonly known as the triangle of fire!!
Infantry are good versus Cavalry, Ranged are good versus Infantry,Cavalry are good versus Ranged, and everything is good versus Siege, but Siege are good against Traps.
Traps are good versus one type of unit (Infantry, Ranged or Cavalry) but are weak versus Siege. They also have additional attributes as well,
besides just being good versus a specific type of enemy .
Infantry ,game of war fire age strategy guide;– Second slowest but second highest load capacity
Ranged – Second fastest but second lowest load capacity
Cavalry – Fastest but smallest load capacity
Siege – Slowest but biggest load capacity
On top of that, the higher tier a troop is the slower it is. Also, the higher tier the troop is the bigger the load capacity.
So the Tier 4 Siege (Onager) is the slowest troop in the game but has the highest load capacity. These are just good
things to know so you can pick your own strategy for troop balance.
STRATEGIC TROOPS ARE BETTER THAN NORMAL TROOPS.
You will always be attempting to attack using troop composition as a tool. Strategic Troops outperform normal troops in every essence of the word when they are attacking (or defending against) the target they are strong against.
Now, for the nuts and bolts.
Power KE Points Train Time Train RSS Silver Cost Heal Time Heal RSS Strength
Tier 1 2 1 15s 150 0 0 6 1
Tier 2 8 5 30s 300 5 1s 12 2
Tier 3 24 40 60s 450 10 2s 18 3
Tier 4 36 100 120s 2750 500 4s 24 4.5
Why is this important? Because knowing those power levels is what wins or loses battles for you. As you can see, with equal research and gear, 375k T3 will kill 250k T4. At a ridiculous discount in resources, silver, time, and Kill Event points provided. This is why you must attack using the proper troop type and level if you hope to come away with an efficient victory. Smearing someone into the dirt is all well and good – but an efficient win is much better than a dominant attack that looks good at first, but really ends up being more of an even power loss.
So how do you attack efficiently?
Follow the Triangle of fire, or the Rock-Paper-Scissors strategy
The most efficient attack is one that is all one troop type. The most efficient way to systematically zero someone is using the triangle. This is the order of events for attacking that will provide you with the highest returns :
1.) Scout. SCOUT! You must know what troops they are strongest in and respond accordingly.
2.) Parse the scouting report and determine what you will be marching with first. You want your first march to be, following the triangle, using whichever troop they will kill the least of. Not which troop you will kill the most with! This means if they have 150k cavalry, 150k infantry, and 100k ranged – you send INFANTRY. This will net you the highest kill:death ratio on your first attack.
3.) Equip hero gear appropriate to what you will be sending with your first march.
4.) Queue attack with your hero and the troop type you deemed will take the least losses. Never attack without your hero.
5.) Attack and READ THE REPORT. See how many of each troop type they have remaining.
6.) Follow the triangle for all subsequent attacks. You marched with infantry on your first attack, meaning you decimated their cavalry. Because they will be much lower on cavalry now, your next march should be ranged.
This applies to both solo and rally attacks.
Attack smart, folks!
